Jersey Fouls Extra: Buffalo Sabres fan trolls New York about Tim Tebow

Jersey Fouls is our ongoing exploration of the rules and etiquette for proper hockey jersey creation and exhibition. If you spot what you think may be a foul in your arena, email a photo to us at puckdaddyblog@yahoo.com for inclusion in future installment.

From reader Peter Plevritis at the Buffalo Sabres' game at the New York Rangers on Friday night:

In case you can't read it, it says "TEBOW LOL" and it's on a Sabres jersey. The owner says he's a Bills fan and was hoping to mock some (NY) Jets fans at the Rangers game.

Mission: accomplished. This probably would have been more effective on a Rangers jersey. Then again, most of them are Giants fans anyway …

UPDATE: From Greg Gelz, who created the J-Foul, here's the skinny:

That was me at MSG last night with my Tebow LOL duct tape job. I think generally most fans saw the joke, even if it was as you say a stretch. And I wasn't hoping to mock "some" Jets fans ... I was hoping to mock ALL Jets fans.

Consider this a companion piece to the celebratory Peyton Manning Colorado Avalanche jersey we ran earlier in the week. Well, celebratory for everyone but Pat Robertson, who would like to see that Avs jersey burn in hellfire.
