Henrik Lundqvist already has save of the year candidate (Video)
Henrik Lundqvist apparently decided he wasn’t just going to beat the Columbus Blue Jackets on Saturday night but fill his highlight reel just three games into the season.
There was the sprawling, no-stick save against Ryan Johansen. There was that goofy moment when he made a save and couldn’t find the puck. But the save Lundqvist made later on the game against Johansen, off a funky bounce, was just magnificent.

Yes, that’s a lunging dive back to the crease in which Lundqvist deflects a puck shot by Columbus’ best scorer away from an open net with his stick then deflecting it off his blocker and out of harm’s way.
In other words, just another night in the cease for The King.
In which he makes a save like that, and then later makes a save like this:

Hey, Hank, leave a little bit of the nighty highlights to the other goalies…
