Dustin Brown goofs on President Obama during congratulatory call (Video)

President Barack Obama honored the Stanley Cup champion LA Kings and Major League Soccer champion LA Galaxy at the White House on Tuesday and offered both teams a "hearty congratulations." (March 26)

President Obama isn’t exactly a die-hard Chicago Blackhawks fan – he’s had six years to attend a game, but alas – he is a Chicago sports fan; which was good enough for Los Angeles Kings captain Dustin Brown.

Here’s the congratulatory call between the President, Brown and LA Kings GM Dean Lombardi, in which Brown does what he does best, which is deliver a hit to an unsuspecting player:

For the video impaired:

OBAMA: “That was a great series, although I guess if you’re a New Yorker, not so much.”

BROWN: “Or a Chicago fan …”

OBAMA: “Or a Chicago fan … see, I don’t know why you had to go there.”

BROWN: [Laughs]

OBAMA: “Seriously, there’s a drone headed to your house, Chuckles...”

(We may have misheard that last part.”)

President Obama continues, praising the Kings’ overtime prowess and Brown’s contribution to the U.S. men’s hockey team in the Sochi Olympics. “I just want to say how proud I am to see how you represent the U.S. in Sochi,” Obama said, having blissfully missed the bronze medal game, apparently.

He also gave Justin Williams and Darryl Sutter shout-outs. Maybe the King of Canada or whatever will give you one, Doughty.
