Concussions will keep quarterbacks Jay Cutler and Alex Smith out of Monday night's Chicago Bears-San Francisco 49ers game. Both starters were injured last Sunday and have not been cleared to return to the lineup. Jason Campbell will start in place of Cutler, while 2011 second round pick Colin Kaepernick will start for the 49ers.
In addition to Cutler, the Bears will be without 2012 first round defensive end Shea McClellin, who sustained a concussion on the opening play of last Sunday night's 13-6 loss to the Houston Texans. McClellin has nine tackles and 2.5 sacks on the season. Nickel cornerback D.J. Moore is also inactive. No surprises among the 49ers' inactives, as running backs Brandon Jacobs will not play, nor will wide receiver A.J. Jenkins and running back LaMichael James, the team's top two picks in the 2012 NFL Draft.
