Chiefs cornerback Dunta Robinson reportedly to miss Sunday’s game to be with cousin, who is in coma after accident

Kansas City Chiefs cornerback Dunta Robinson doesn't expect to play Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys, as his first cousin has lapsed into a coma after being hit by a vehicle.

Robinson didn't practice this week as he attended to a family matter. ESPN reported that it doesn't appear Robinson will play Sunday and disclosed some details of what Robinson's cousin is going through. The report said his cousin is in ICU and is requiring the assistance of a breathing machine.

While the football side of the story is not as important as what Robinson is going through, it is an issue for the Chiefs.

Robinson would have played a significant number of snaps as the Chiefs' third cornerback (he played 26 against the Jaguars last week, according to Pro Football Focus), and that is valuable against the Cowboys' strong passing game.

But the Chiefs will figure that out. All prayers go out to Robinson's cousin, Robinson and his family.
