WATCH: Braxton Miller make a one-handed catch while holding five footballs

For those worried about how Ohio State’s Braxton Miller will fare as a receiver, the university’s Instagram account is here to put your mind at ease.

Yes, that’s Miller holding five footballs and catching a sixth — one-handed — from the jugs machine in the Ohio State indoor practice facility.

Obviously, there’s a lot more that goes into receiver — route running, blocking, etc. — but knowing that Miller has hands and concentration like that has to inspire some confidence that he can make the transition from quarterback to receiver. It also gives some hope that that right shoulder might be further along than anyone anticipated.

During Big Ten media days last week, coach Urban Meyer said he’d been working with Miller on his footwork, but that he had not seen him catch a ball.

“Feedback I'm getting from guys like JT and Cardale is that he's very athletic obviously and he can catch the ball,” Meyer said. “I've not seen him do that. I'm anxious to see him do that.”

Chances are when Meyer sees this video, he’ll be pleased with Miller’s progress.
