The Texas-Texas A&M rivalry could be closer to happening.

Of course, given that the rivalry is currently nonexistent, it doesn't take much to move the needle towards resumption. But Texas coach Charlie Strong sure made it seem like the rivalry could be on the comeback while in Houston on Friday.

A Texas spokesperson quickly had this to say in response to Strong's remarks. So it doesn't seem like there's anything of substance. But any signs from Texas of wanting to play Texas A&M are good ones.

Speaking of rivalries that need to resume, it seems like Michigan and Notre Dame could play again. And fairly soon, too. The teams could meet in a few years.

Michigan and Notre Dame last played in 2014.
