Police say Missouri wide receiver Dorial Green-Beckham will not face any charges
Missouri star receiver Dorial Green-Beckham will not face charges following a burglary incident that was reported over the weekend, Columbia police announced Thursday.
“Based on the information obtained during the investigation there will be no arrests made in this case,” said police spokeswoman Latisha Stroer, per the Columbia Tribune.
Green-Beckham was suspended from the team indefinitely by head coach Gary Pinkel on Monday for a violation of team policies.
A first-degree burglary was reported at a Columbia apartment complex at 2:36 a.m. Sunday morning and the Columbia Missourian and The Maneater, Missouri’s two student newspapers, spoke to two witnesses who were told by neighbors that Green-Beckham allegedly hit a girl.
Despite the fact that no arrests will be made, the Tribune’s David Morrison is tweeting out some ugly details from the incident report which stated that Green-Beckham “forced” his way into the apartment while the resident tried to close the door. He was reportedly looking for his girlfriend.

Green-Beckham's girlfriend allegedly texted the victim and was trying to convince her not to press charges.
Text: "He will be kicked out of Mizzou and not qualify for the draft ... The coaches talked to me and explained to me how serious this is."

Morrison is reporting that Green-Beckham's girlfriend later told police that she "didn't remember" texting about any injuries and she also denied that the Missouri coaching staff ever contacted her.
It remains to be seen what Green-Beckham's status with the team will be moving forward, especially after these ugly details were revealed. This is his third off-the-field incident in his time at Mizzou. He was arrested for marijuana possession as a true freshman in 2012 and was suspended for a game. That charge was dropped after he pled guilty to a reduced charge of trespassing.
He was also arrested on Jan. 10 when he was a passenger in a car that was found to have a pound of marijuana, but he was never charged after court documents showed that the marijuana did not belong to him.
Green-Beckham, the No. 1 recruit in the class of 2012, caught 59 passes for 883 yards and 12 touchdowns as a sophomore.
