Notre Dame brings back Trick Shot Monday (Video)

If you thought Notre Dame’s infamous Trick Shot Monday was a one-year deal, think again.

The Irish released their first trick shot video this week in preparation for the upcoming game against Michigan.

For those who forgot, Trick Shot Monday is Notre Dame’s weekly contest where players attempt to get a ping pong ball into a cup of water by bouncing it off walls, tables, floors and even people head. The trickier the shot, the better the celebration.

During the national championship last year, ESPN sideline reporter Samantha Ponder, with the help of several Notre Dame players, made a trick shot off the national championship trophy.

In the first Trick Shot Monday video of the season, freshman offensive lineman John Montelus headed the ball into the cup much to the extreme delight of his teammates.

The bonus of actually making the trick shot? Everyone can go to dinner when it’s done.
