Mississippi State’s thin offensive line just got thinner after starting right tackle Damien Robinson suffered a torn right ACL and will miss the season, according to the Jackson Clarion-Ledger.

Robinson, who played mostly on special teams in 12 games last season, was slated to take over for Charles Siddoway.

Robinson had played in 37 games during his Mississippi State career.

The Bulldogs will be forced to fill that hole with Justin Senior, Rufus Warren or Cole Carter, however none of those players have played a game on the offensive line at Mississippi State. Most of their experience has been on special teams and Warren was actually converted to tight end in the spring.

"That was a position you weren't deep at. You were hoping that a Justin Senior and Rufus could really spend this year in the supporting cast instead of the starring role," Mullen told the Clarion-Ledger. "But hey, sometimes in Hollywood you get your breaks at the right place and the right time."

Mullen also mentioned he could move Justin Malone from guard to tackle.

"When an injury strikes the (offensive line) combination may change," Mullen told the paper. "That's one of the things we have to be prepared to do and look, what's the best combination going to be?"
