UPDATED: Michigan State files a complaint with the Big Ten against Ohio State

After Saturday's 17-16 loss to Ohio State, Michigan State defensive coordinator Pat Narduzzi told media that Ohio State doctored its game film and that he officially filed a complaint with the Big Ten.

Big Ten opponents are required to provide game film to each other before the teams play, but Narduzzi said Ohio State cut off the pre-snap motions and shifts in each of the four games they sent to the Spartans.

"We had tape cut off all week, where they changed the tape, I'm not gonna lie to you," Narduzzi said. "They send you tape and they've got it all cut off and you don't get to see shifts or motions or anything else."

Narduzzi said he knew the film was doctored after calling the Buckeyes' nonconference opponents and getting film from them. The two films didn't match up.

"A few other teams we talked to that they played, and we compared what they were looking at on tape to what we were looking at," he said. "We're like 'We don't see any of that. We see it on their tape but not on our tape.' So that's something I'm sure the Big Ten office will hopefully take care of."

Meyer said he was unaware of any issues with the video his program sent to Michigan State.

This isn't the first time these two coaching staffs have had issues. Following National Signing Day, Michigan State coach Mark Dantonio and Narduzzi publicly accused Ohio State coach Urban Meyer and his staff of poaching Canton, Ohio, defensive end Se'Von Pittman, who was a Michigan State pledge.

Good to see the tension between these two teams hasn't subsided.

UPDATED: According to the Detroit Free Press, Michigan State athletic director Mark Hollis and Ohio State athletic director Gene Smith settled the video issue without Big Ten involvement. The details of how the matter was settled were not reported.
