Georgia's Chauncey Rivers arrested for pot possession

Georgia defensive lineman Chauncey Rivers was arrested early Saturday morning for marijuana possession. It's his second marijuana-related arrest in less than six weeks.

According to Red and Black, Rivers was arrested just after 1 a.m.

Rivers was booked in the Athens-Clarke County jail at 1:12 a.m. on Dec. 12 with bond posted at $1,000. He was listed as "currently incarcerated" as of 2:15 a.m., according to Athens-Clarke County’s website.

He had bonded out on a $1,000 bond before 3 a.m., per the site.

Rivers and Natrez Patrick, both freshmen, were suspended for the Bulldogs' game against Kentucky in November after they were arrested for marijuana possession on Nov. 4. The one-game suspension is written out in the Georga athlete code of conduct, so it stands to reason Rivers will, at least, miss the team's bowl game against Penn State in the Taxslayer Bowl.

Rivers had four tackles in 2015. He was a four-star recruit in the class of 2015 and the No. 7 strongside defensive end in the country according to Rivals.
