It seems like every year we see something new in the world of recruiting as coaches do whatever they can to secure a prospect’s commitment. With that said, the coaches at Georgia are continuing that trend by getting creative and sending recruits hand-drawn sketches.

Fairburn, Ga. defensive end D’Andre Walker, a four-star recruit in the class of 2015, tweeted out one of those sketches that Georgia sent him. In the sketch, the recruit’s uniform is split in two. On the left side is Walker’s high school uniform.

On the right side is red and black Georgia uniform. Head coach Mark Richt then added on a personalized message.

Montezuma, Ga. Linebacker Roquan Smith, also a four-star 2015 recruit, tweeted out a similar sketch from Georgia that included a helmet in late February.

Who knows if the sketches will help influence a recruit’s decision one way or another, but it’s certainly something creative we haven’t seen before.
