Game Day Live Blog: Early edition
Programming note: Diverging from usual custom, there will be not one but two live blogs running today, beginning with this one for the noon and late afternoon kicks, highlighted by Texas A&M at Oklahoma (ABC or ESPN2, 3:30 ET.). For the big one tonight in Tuscaloosa, a separate chat will begin at 8 p.m. ET
• What: Game day live blog, covering every game, all day long. All colors and comments welcome, though preference is always given to snark.
• When: First kicks are at noon ET on FX, the Big Ten Network and various incarnations of ESPN. This week, it goes till 8 p.m. before shifting over to the Alabama-LSU chat, which will run through the late games on the West Coast if necessary.
• Who: You and all your rowdy friends, preferably math majors to keep track of Oklahoma quarterback Landry Jones' afternoon against the 120th-ranked pass defense out of 120 FBS teams.
• How: Hit "Watch Now," enter comments into the available box and do your part to accelerate the slow, agonizing death of conventional journalism.
• Why: Because practice makes perfect. Tonight, you're going to need it.
