Hoarse-voiced Mark Fox gives hilarious TV interview

Georgia coach Mark Fox's team proved stronger than his voice Wednesday night.

By the end of his team's critical 62-53 road win at Texas A&M, Fox was so hoarse and raspy that he could barely conduct a postgame interview.

Credit Fox for gamely answering two questions for the SEC Network in hilarious fashion before wisely handing the baton to assistant Philip Pearson and going in search of some tea or lozenges. It was Pearson who did Fox's usual postgame radio interview and who answered questions from reporters at Georgia's postgame news conference.

There was plenty for Pearson to talk about too after the Bulldogs held Texas A&M to 34 percent shooting in the second half to finish off their best road win of the season. Georgia (16-7, 7-4) is now tied for fourth in the SEC and in decent position to make the NCAA tournament thanks to a Top 25 RPI and solid wins over Ole Miss, Seton Hall, Kansas State and Florida.

"We're fighting with Texas A&M and several others to be in the top half of the league," Pearson told reporters in College Station after the game. "We've got a lot of games to play, but this one was big for us, no doubt."
