American Century Championship: Roenick catches pass from Elway on golf course

Former Chicago Blackhawk Jeremy Roenick was a force on the ice during his 20-year playing career in the NHL, and anyone who has seen him on a golf course knows he can hit it long and straight. But, few may know Roenick can play a little pigskin as well.

Roenick, a studio analyst for NHL on NBC, connected with legendary NFL quarterback John Elway between holes at the 24th annual American Century Championship at Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course.

The current Denver Broncos executive vice president of football operations and 2004 Pro Football Hall of Fame enshrinee lofted a pass over a caddie, who was doing his best to defend, and into the outstretched arms of Roenick.

Then it got really entertaining for the gallery at the celebrity golf tournament as Roenick charged downfield and barrel-rolled over a small tree, losing his hat and sunglasses as he made impact with the ground.

True to form, Roenick quickly leaped to his feet and held both arms to the sky as those in attendance cheered him on.
