Mad Dash: Punter calls out Billick for saying kickers aren't football players

Former Baltimore Ravens head coach Brian Billick was on the NFL Network Sunday when he shared a very outspoken opinion about kickers. Specifically, that kickers aren't football players. Seattle punter Jon Ryan, pretty outspoken himself, had a sharp response ready, specifically referencing the fact that Billick was never an NFL player himself, basically saying, "Who was he to talk?" Then again, Billick does have a Super Bowl ring as a head coach, so we're not really sure who wins here. Probably no one.

A Tennessee football fan learned a valuable lesson Saturday when celebrating his Volunteers' 38-31 win over Georgia: Never storm the field. When he tried to do just that, a security guard was ready and waiting, in a manner that suggested he dreams about opportunities to tackle fans when he goes to bed at night. It was a blue chip-level tackle. Lesson learned (hopefully).

The Miami Hurricanes football Twitter account was just trying to get fans fired up, along with the team, for the big game against Florida State. There was one problem with their tweet, though. In the frenzy to get everyone hyped for the game, the account used the hashtag "Beat Miami." Whoops. Whoever was running the account quickly tried to make the fix, but the damage was already done. Florida State finished the job with a 29-24 win.
