Dale Earnhardt Jr. takes a spin on David Letterman's couch

Dale explains why he had to turn off his engine during the Daytona 500.

Dale Earnhardt Jr.  is in the midst of the whirlwind media tour that sweeps up every winner of the Daytona 500, and on Monday night, that brought him to the couch of longtime race fan David Letterman.

The interview was a solid one, with Letterman knowing the right questions to ask to present Earnhardt to a mass audience. First, here's Earnhardt discussing how to save fuel during caution laps:
