Ultimate Fight Night 18 is a cheap affair, and not in a good way

What comes first, the cheap fighters or cheap tickets?

The UFC has announced both the fight card and ticket prices for Ultimate Fight Night 18 on Apr. 1 in Nashville, Tenn. The tickets range from $20-200, cheaper than other UFC events where the floor seats can reach $800. However, much like the huge tub of mayonnaise at Sam's Club, this event is not the value it seems to be.

The fight card is filled with guys who are still on their Ultimate Fighter contracts, including everyone's favorite ne'er-do-well, Junie Browning, who will be fighting another TUF alum, Cole Miller. TUF winners Ryan Bader and Efrain Escudero (pictured) will also have the first bouts of their six-figure contracts. Former WEC middleweights Aaron Simpson and Nissan Osterneck are also on the card, which is headlined by former WEC welterweight champ Carlos Condit.

So, you're not exactly getting title fights for your $20. You're not even getting fights that will set up title fights for your $20. But if you're in Nashville already, it's still a UFC event in your neighborhood, and your $20 just may allow you to see Browning get pounded into oblivion. That's a steal at twice the price.
