New Jersey: The home of fighting!
The Garden State has a great reputation for top level high school wrestling. As a result, New Jersey has been a pretty solid feeder state for the UFC and the rest of mixed martial arts. Frank Edgar and Kurt Pellegrino are two high level fighters. Growing up in Toms River and Pt. Pleasant, respectively, they also got to hone their skills and attitude on the lovely Jersey Shore. As a fellow native of the state, don't ask why we are the way we are, just watch (4:23 mark - NSFW).
