Morgan Pressel’s younger sister takes Big 12 title
Last week, Tiger Woods' niece Cheyenne Woods, a Wake Forest student, won the ACC's individual tournament. This week, we bring you Madison Pressel, younger sister of the LPGA's Morgan, who won the Big 12 individual title and helped the University of Texas to the team title.
Texas beat Texas A&M by three strokes on Sunday. Pressel won the individual title by five strokes. She began her final round with two bogeys, but ended up shooting three under over the final 16 holes, including an eagle on the par-4 14th at The Club at Old Hawthorne.
As Golfweek's Beth Ann Baldry notes, both Pressel sisters make use of a sterling short game in lieu of length off the tee. Madison Pressel has indicated she'll play two more years at UT before turning pro.
