Is Friday’s second round at Augusta National the hottest Masters ticket ever?

We knew heading into this week that the 2013 Masters had a chance to be one for the ages. Tiger Woods came in the favorite, Rory McIlroy played his way into form the week before and a host of names like Phil Mickelson, Bubba Watson and Dustin Johnson all had the potential to make moves this week at Augusta National.

But after one round are we already looking at one of the toughest Masters tickets ever? Golf Digest's Craig Bestrom is on the grounds at Augusta National and went looking for tickets on Friday morning to check the scalper situation. What did he find? That this could be the hottest Masters ticket ever.

We already knew that the Masters tickets are the most expensive in all of sports, but this Friday being the toughest ever? It makes sense when you start looking into it.

First, Tiger goes late on Friday, meaning if you wanted to see his entire round you could get out a little later and follow him. Second, the early groupings mean you can see a ton of guys that either have big names or are in contention right out of the gate. Sergio Garcia is already on the course, as is Dustin Johnson and Fred Couples, so right there you can hit up some of the leaders early on in your Friday viewing experience.

I'm sure there have been weekend tickets that have been tougher to come by, but for a Friday this is pretty exciting, and we haven't even mentioned 14-year-old Tianlang Guan trying to make the cut.
