Michael Phelps swims for the final time of his illustrious Olympic career on Saturday night in London. Hours before, he happily jumped into the auxiliary pool at the London Aquatics Centre for the final workout of his swimming career. He didn't do it alone.

The 17-time gold medalist held hands with his training partner, Allison Schmitt, who herself has four medals at the London Games.

The North Baltimore Aquatic Club teammates will swim in their respective 4x100 medley relays on Saturday night. Phelps will dive in third for the butterfly leg. In the women's race, Schmitt will anchor in the freestyle leg.
