Zoom! Miami Dolphins have six-fastest timed runs of this NFL season.

MIAMI GARDENS — The Dolphins have the six fastest ball carrier speeds in the NFL this season.

All six!

Tyreek Hill is fastest, at 22.07 miles per hour.

De'Von Achane is second-fastest, at 21.93 mph.

Raheem Mostert is fourth-fastest at 21.62 mph.

Hill appears three times in the top six, Achane twice and Mostert once.

The list comprises, literally and entirely, Miami Dolphins.

How is that fair, Mike McDaniel?

"Chris Grier's a madman," was McDaniel's answer Wednesday.

Grier is the Dolphins' general manager, and McDaniel noted that Jaylen Waddle (not on the list yet, but surely he will be soon), was drafted before he arrived.

"One thing that we're afforded in our working relationship, speaking of Chris and I, is that we can functionally move in a direction with vision and purpose," McDaniel said. "So, you know, I think, you know, we've always shared commonality with, for talent, specifically, offensive skill positions."

McDaniel always notes that it's not good enough to be a fast player.

Miami Dolphins have fastest roster in NFL

What the Dolphins have in Hill, Waddle, Mostert and Achane are four really good fast players.

"There's a lot of guys in the league in general that can run. It's different being a fast guy that that's a football player," McDaniel said. "And I think that's what people are starting to see is that they can not only flourish as football players independently but they are starting to find a little groove and how to play with each other."

When Achane, the AFC Player of the Week after posting 203 rushing yards last week, was drafted, he said: "Coach McDaniel — when I had that talk with him, he was saying that he planned on building the fastest team in the NFL. So by adding me to that piece, that’s something that’s, like that’s a guarantee. So it’s going to be real fun and competitive at practice. I just can’t wait to get there.”

Dolphins rookie De'Von Achane runs untouched for a 67-yard touchdown on Sunday against the Broncos. He scored twice on the ground and twice through the air.

Miami has the fastest team in the NFL, by far.

Miami may have the fastest team in the history of the NFL.

Last season, Hill was asked whether he is the fastest Dolphin.

Is Tyreek Hill the fastest Miami Dolphin?

"Come on, now. Come on, now," Hill said. "My name wouldn’t be Cheetah for no reason — that’s what I do."

Mostert said in an interview with Rich Eisen that he would top Hill in a 40-yard dash.

"Oh yeah, hands down, I win this race," Mostert said. "Look, I'll tell it like this, Rich. When it comes to a race, right, Tyreek is fast, don't get me wrong, but I can break down his speed. He has more of that quick twitch to him, too. For me, I'm more of a long-strider; once I get going, it's hard to catch me, it's hard to beat me. And same thing with J-Dub, he's in between both Tyreek and I. It'll be a good race for sure, but I think I got the upper advantage."

Hill responded on X, the former Twitter.

"'L' take," Hill said, indicating Mostert had taken a loss with his remarks.
