Yum! See what's new on the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp menu for the 2024 baseball season

For the new season of Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp baseball, peanuts and Cracker Jack are just the beginning.

New foods highlight the 2024 menu for the Triple-A baseball club, which begins its first full six-game home series in the International League East on Tuesday against the Charlotte Knights at 121 Financial Ballpark.

As fans across the First Coast and around the nation know, the action on the field is only one part of a night at the ballpark.

Here's a closer look at some of the new items on the menu for the new season on the diamond.

For Jumbo Shrimp general manager Harold Craw, he couldn't believe it wasn't meat.

"I feel like it's hard to feel me with a hot dog," he said, "but that one's got it."

New to the ballpark is the plant-based Impossible Hot Dog, rolling out for fans in Jacksonville this season. It's part of a line of meatless products, which will also include the Impossible Burger, Impossible Chicken Nuggets and the Impossible Meatball at the suite level.

Gillian Bay, the Jumbo Shrimp's premium experiences manager, said the club added the plant-based items in response to fan interest in healthier food options.

Because of their Opening Day in March, the Jumbo Shrimp technically joined the first wave of Impossible Hot Dogs in the minor leagues. The product only launched in February.

For fans who prefer old-school hot dogs the way Babe Ruth would have munched them, though, the Jumbo Shrimp's traditional hot dog selections remain in place, highlighted by the $2 Hot Dog.

"That price will never change as far as when we are in charge, when Ken [Babby] owns the team, we're committed to that," Bay said. "So you can always bring a family of four and eat for under $10 with a $2 Hot Dog."

A new take on ballpark food this year on the First Coast will be the Frito Pie, served directly from the bag containing the corn chips.

Topping those chips will be chili beef, cheese and green onions inside the foil bag. Fans can find it at the Craft Cave.

Also on the menu for release later in the year will be the Walking Taco, based on Doritos corn tortilla chips, available at the Sunshine Sandbar.

Churro Sundae

It's the yum after the yum.

Adding to the menu this year will be a new Churro Sundae, with vanilla ice cream, cinnamon-sugar churro and chocolate sauce.

Still to come later in the year, Bay said, will be an aquatic-themed Sandbar Sundae with graham cracker crumbles, blue sprinkles and gummy sharks.
