Orso collected nearly 36% of the online poll, for a total of 460 votes, to capture girls Athlete of the Week. St. Thomas Aquinas lacrosse player Charlotte De Tolla finished second with 389 votes.

Winnacunnet lacrosse player McKinley Fowler had 157 votes, Portsmouth tennis player Sophia Jundi had 145 votes and Oyster River lacrosse player Grace Royal had 135 votes, to round out the five nominees.

Orso, a freshman, pitched a complete-game one-hitter, and she had three hits in York's 17-2 win over Cape Elizabeth. She also had four hits and two RBI to lead the Wildcats to a 11-1 win over Morse on Saturday. Orso also had a hit and three RBI in a 14-4 win over Wells.

"Another impressive week for Sarah both in the circle and at the plate but we’ve come to expect that from her," York head coach Kevin Giannino said. "She has very quickly established herself as one of the top players in the conference and she’s just getting started. In our recent game at Yarmouth after McKayla Kortes was intentionally walked to load the bases, Sarah rifled the next pitch to the fence scoring two. Think that one at-bat speaks volumes about her confidence levels and what she’s capable of accomplishing moving forward. She’s a great teammate and a big reason why we sit 7-0."

Grandmaison collected nearly 36% of online votes with 268 to win boys Athlete of the Week. Winnacunnet lacrosse player Beckett Rath finished second with 167 votes.

York baseball player Brody Gullison had 112 votes, Marshwood outdoor track athlete Isaiah Perodin had 108 votes and Dover tennis player John Tran had 93 votes.

Grandmaison allowed two hits and struck out six batters in seven innings of work, and collected two hits and an RBI in Somersworth's 7-4 win over Inter-Lakes on Saturday. He also had a home run and two RBIs in a 5-4 loss to Raymond.

"Certainly well deserved recognition for Simon. Just a great kid who shows up everyday & handles his business everyday, the right way," Somersworth head coach Brian Bussiere said. "He’s been a leader for us this year. We’ve talked this year about playing loose and for him to just go be himself and not try to do too much, the results will come. Clearly they have, and it's exciting for him to win this award. But knowing Simon he puts the team before himself, he’d credit his team for his success last week, they played great (defense) behind him at Inter-lakes. Great week for Simon ... his performance helped get us back in the win column. All around consistent & productive week for Simon which is what we are used to from him, happy for him to get some recognition."
