'Yeah... he's next': Jaxon Smith-Njigba praises Ohio State five-star commit Jeremiah Smith
How good could Jeremiah Smith be for Ohio State in the 2024 class? Jaxon Smith-Njigba is already giving high praise for the five-star wide receiver.
Smith posted a picture of him and Smith-Njigba, who was selected by the Seattle Seahawks with the No. 20 overall pick in the 2023 NFL draft in April, calling the former Ohio State wide receiver "my boy."

But Smith-Njigba has high hopes for what Smith can do in offensive coordinator Brian Hartline's wide receiver room.

In Ohio State's 2020 class, Smith-Njigba, a 6-foot-1, 188-pound athlete out of Rockwall, Texas, was a five-star, the No. 5 wide receiver and the No. 29 player in the class per 247Sports' composite rankings before being the first receiver selected in the 2023 NFL draft.
Smith, standing at 6-foot-3, 198 pounds out of Chaminade-Madonna Preparatory High School in Hollywood, Florida, is the No. 3 player and No. 1 wide receiver in the 2024 class, committing to the Buckeyes Dec. 14.

Last season, per MaxPreps, Smith caught 58 passes for 1,073 yards and 20 touchdowns.
Smith is one of two five-star wide receivers in Ohio State's 2024 recruiting class, along with New Haven, Indiana native Mylan Graham — the No. 6 receiver in the class.
