The Xavier Musketeers are scheduled to open the 2023-24 season Nov. 6 against Robert Morris at Cintas Center, according to a report Tuesday via Twitter from CBS Sports' Jon Rothstein.

The Colonials finished last season with a 16-17 record, 10-10 in the Horizon League. The university's Moon Township campus is about 25 miles from Xavier head coach Sean Miller's high school, Blackhawk, and about 20 miles from Pitt, where Miller played in college.

XU and RMU last met in Nov. 2012, with the Muskies winning 61-59 at Cintas Center. Chris Mack was Xavier's head coach at the time.

Xavier defeated Robert Morris, 78-57, in Dec. 2008, when Miller was in his first stint as XU's head coach.

XU confirmed it will host Houston in December in the 2023 Big East-Big 12 Battle, and it reportedly will host Winthrop later that month.

Jacksonville reportedly will visit Cintas Center in November.
