WR Mike Evans wins Nickelodeon’s “NVP” award for Week 2

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans has earned what is perhaps professional football’s most prestigious award.

Well, maybe not, but it’s still pretty cool. Nickelodeon awards their patented “NVP” award (Nickelodeon Valuable Player) each week, and for Week 2, the trophy came to Tampa Bay to be award to Evans. Evans is the third Buccaneer to win an NVP award — quarterback Tom Brady and running back Leonard Fournette both won on in the 2021 season.

Evans wins the trophy off of a stellar game against the Chicago Bears, catching for 171 yards and a touchdown. Evans is currently fourth in the NFL in receiving yards with 237, the most receiving yards Evans has had in his first two games through his whole career.

Typically, the NVP winner is slimed as per Nickelodeon tradition, but Evans passed on that honor to another Bucs rookie. You can see who he chose below:
