WNC High school spring sports playoffs: schedules and scores

The 2023 spring playoffs are about to get underway.

Lacrosse, boys golf and boys tennis playoffs start next week while baseball, softball, girls soccer and track and field begin the second week of May.

Below are schedules, scores and results for every WNC team in every sport and playoff round. Scroll below for the full list of NCHSAA results, followed by NCISAA results.

Second Round

No. 9 South Davidson defeated No. 25 Cherokee 3-0.

No. 11 Cornerstone Charter defeated No. 6 Swain County 1-1 (4-2).

No. 10 Mountain Island Charter defeated No. 23 Avery County 9-0.

2A Girls Soccer

Third Round

No. 4 Hendersonville defeated No. 5 East Gaston 4-1. It will face No. 1 Pine Lake Prep on Thursday.

Regional Final

No. 1 South Point defeated No. 2 West Henderson 3-2.

No. 12 Northwest Guilford defeated No. 4 Asheville 3-2.

3A Baseball

State Finals

No. 3 West Henderson will play No. 1 J.H. Rose in Game 1 on Friday at 8 p.m. at Burlington Athletic Stadium.
