A Wisconsin legend to be activated from the NFL PUP list and return to practice

For those Wisconsin Badger fans looking to watch legend Jonathan Taylor run the football, that day is finally on the horizon. ESPN’s Stephen Holder reported earlier today that Taylor ‘will be activated this week and is scheduled to practice on Wednesday.’

The former Badger went through a very public contract dispute with the Indianapolis Colts and owner Jim Irsay during training camp. It is still yet to be resolved, though Taylor now appears to be healthy enough to begin his season.

The Wisconsin legend is considered one of the best in the NFL at his position. His First-Team All-Pro 2021 saw him ascend to that level, as he recorded 1811 rushing yards, 18 rushing touchdowns, 360 receiving yards and two receiving touchdowns.

His future is still up in the air with his rookie contract set to expire after this season. He wants to be paid among the top running backs in football, though the Colts may want to hold off given the league’s current trend in paying players at the position.
