North Kitsap's boys basketball team clinched a berth in the Class 2A West Central/Sea-King Bi-District tournament finals with a win over Sammamish Thursday night.

The game at Silas High School in Tacoma went down to the wire for the Vikings, the tournament's top seed.

No. 5 Sammamish tied the game late, setting up North Kitsap junior Jordan Williams' game-winning shot with three seconds remaining in the Vikings' 72-70 victory. Senior Cade Orness led North Kitsap (20-3) with 26 points and 8 rebounds, while Williams added 18. He drove the length of the floor for the winner after Sammamish rallied late.

"We were up seven with 29 seconds left," said North Kitsap head coach Scott Orness, whose team committed two fouls and two turnovers in the last minute to allow Sammamish to tie the game.

The Vikings will face No. 3 Renton in the title game Saturday at 2:15 p.m. at Tacoma Community College. Renton outlasted No. 7 Bremerton, 68-65, in overtime during Thursday's other district semifinal game. Freshman Jalin Davis led the Knights (17-5) with 36 points and 10 rebounds. Bremerton led by double-digits in the second quarter before Renton mounted its comeback.

"Our game to win," Bremerton head coach Miah Davis said.

The Knights face Sammamish on Saturday at 8 a.m. at Foster High School in the third/fourth-place game.
