TEAM OF THE WEEK

Milwaukee King

The Generals have asserted early dominance among their City Conference peers with a 4-0 start that included three shutout wins last week. On Monday, King beat Milwaukee Bradley Tech/School of the Arts, 12-0, led by five goals from Taylor Perkins, a hat trick from Niah Acosta and three assists each from Ana Carrillo and Mabel Ciepluch. King followed up that victory with another 12-0 result over Milwaukee Audubon/Hamilton on Wednesday, led by six goals from Acosta, three from Carrillo and two from Perkins. Ciepluch was also credited with eight assists and added a goal of her own. Then, on Friday, Ciepulch led scorers with four goals and two assists in a 10-0 win over Milwaukee Pulaski/Carmen South/Juneau. Acosta had a hat trick with an assist, and Carrillo added two goals to round out scoring leaders. Through four games, King has outscored opponents 47-0. The Generals are scheduled to face Milwaukee Riverside/Golda Meir on Wednesday after a Monday night date with Milwaukee Bay View to open the week.

COMING UP

Brookfield Academy at Heritage Christian, 4:30 p.m. Wednesday: A 1-3 Brookfield Academy team that qualified for state out of the Midwest Classic Conference a season ago looks for a get-right game against a Heritage Chrisitian team off to a 3-1 start.

Brookfield East at Kettle Moraine, 7 p.m. Thursday: Undefeated WIAA Division 1 teams entering the week meet in a nonconference battle.

Cedarburg at Divine Savior Holy Angels, 7 p.m. Friday: WIAA state-qualifying teams from a season ago meet in a top five matchup of our area-ranked teams.
