Where to watch Alabama gymnastics at Super 16: time, streaming for Tide's first meet
The Alabama gymnastics team will travel to Las Vegas this weekend for the Mean Girls Super 16 Championships. The competition will be their first meet of the season and provide a crucial early-season test against elite competition.
The No. 8 Crimson Tide will face off with No. 5 UCLA, No. 7 California, and No. 17 Auburn in a quad meet. The high rankings of each team, coupled with the rivalry pairings of Bruins-Bears and Tide-Tigers, should bring out the best in the competitors. For Alabama, second-year head coach Ashley Johnston is looking to get her team off to a hot start.
"I think moving into this year, a lot of the athletes have some unfinished business, so I'm excited about kicking off our 2024 season with a team that's spent a lot of time together," Johnston said. "They're truly a family, and I think there's something truly special and unique about what this team has created."
