Detroit Lions rookie running back Jahmyr Gibbs is making headlines for his postseason performances this season, as he has 172 total yards and two touchdowns in wins over the Rams and Buccaneers.
Gibbs, selected 12th overall by the Lions in the 2023 NFL draft, was the second running back selected behind Bijan Robinson, who went No. 8 to Atlanta.

The 5-foot-9 speedster will likely play a large role should the Lions clinch a Super Bowl berth on Sunday, as Detroit travels to take on San Francisco for the NFC championship.
On the season, Gibbs has rushed for 945 yards and 10 touchdowns on 182 carries, with an additional 316 receiving yards on 52 receptions. Gibbs' 1,261 total yards ranked third among rookies this season, behind Robinson and Rams receiver Puka Nacua, who broke the rookie record for receptions (105) and receiving yards (1,486).

Gibbs attended Alabama for one season before he was drafted 12th overall by Detroit in a surprise move. Before joining the Crimson Tide, the former first-round pick played two seasons at Georgia Tech.
Gibbs entered the transfer portal prior to the 2022 college football season and was one of the most sought-after prospects, eventually choosing Alabama. He ran for 926 yards and seven touchdowns for Alabama, also catching 44 passes for 444 yards and three touchdowns.
