Where Clemson baseball sits in latest NCAA predictions entering ACC tournament

CLEMSON — Clemson baseball is on track to host an NCAA regional for the second consecutive year according to the latest field of 64 projections by Baseball America and D1Baseball.

The No. 5 Tigers (40-13) aim to make the super regionals and College World Series for the first time since 2010. The full field of 64 will be announced on May 27 at noon ET.

Clemson enters the ACC tournament as the No. 2 seed and will face No. 11 seed Miami on Thursday (11 a.m., ACC Network) and No. 7 seed Louisville (3 p.m., ACC Network) on Friday in pool play. It aims to advance to the finals to win its second straight conference tournament since 1993-94.

The Tigers captured its first Atlantic Division title since 2018 after sweeping Boston College. They won eight of their 10 conference series and have three players — Aidan Knaak (first team), Blake Wright (second) and Cam Cannarella (third) — earn all-conference honors.

Here's a look at where Clemson sits in the postseason projections ahead of the ACC tournament:

Baseball America's projection for Clemson

Baseball America projects Clemson as a No. 6 overall seed in the NCAA tournament, hosting a regional as a No. 1 seed like it predicted in last week's projection.

No. 2 seed Alabama, No. 3 seed UNC Greensboro and No. 4 seed Presbyterian would be part of the Clemson Regional.

D1Baseball's projection for Clemson

D1Baseball projects Clemson as a No. 6 overall seed for the second straight week, too. Kentucky, Tennessee, Texas A&M, North Carolina and Arkansas are ahead of the Tigers.

The Clemson regional would include No. 2 seed Louisiana, No. 3 seed South Carolina and No. 4 seed Army.
