Where Alabama basketball stands in updated March Madness bracket predictions
Alabama basketball remains in line to receive a No. 4 seed for the NCAA Tournament 2024.
Nate Oats' squad didn't win the SEC regular-season title again this year, but it was once again one of the top teams in the SEC. The SEC Tournament will take place this week before the Crimson Tide's seeding is officially determined for March Madness on Sunday. Beforehand, Alabama will be the No. 3 seed in the conference tournament, playing Friday night against an opponent to be determined.
Here are the latest NCAA Tournament projections and March Madness predictions for Alabama.
Where Alabama basketball is projected for March Madness predictions
ESPN's Joe Lunardi's updated predictions on Tuesday kept Alabama as a No. 4 seed. In his prediction, the Crimson Tide would play in Spokane, Washington in the South region, facing No. 13 seed UC Irvine to start. CBS' Jerry Palm also sees Alabama as a No. 4 seed, but he has the Crimson Tide playing in Pittsburgh for the first round against No. 13 seed McNeese State. USA Today Sports' predictions are in line for the No. 4 seed prediction for the Crimson Tide, sending Alabama to Spokane as well. In that prediction, Alabama would face No. 13 seed Charleston.

Alabama basketball's NCAA Tournament resume
The Crimson Tide sits No. 8 in the NET rankings heading into the SEC Tournament; It has a 3-9 Quad 1 record while being 8-1 in Quad 2 games. Alabama's home win against Auburn remains its best victory of the season. Other good wins include Texas A&M at home, Florida at home and a sweep of Mississippi State. Alabama doesn't have any bad losses. The only Quad 2 loss is to Ohio State back in November. All the others are Quad 1 losses.
