We’ve seen cleaner injury reports and we’ve seen messier ones. Get your copay ready and let’s see what’s what.

• Joe Mixon is back in play for the Bengals and Giovani Bernard (knee) will miss multiple games. Marvin Lewis has cautioned, however, that Mixon might not be ready for a full workload. Rookie Mark Walton is the fallback. Second-year wideout John Ross (groin) will not play.

• Dalvin Cook (hamstring) is officially listed as questionable, though he’s not expected to play at Philadelphia. Latavius Murray is the backup, though you get the idea this could be a day where the Vikings junk the running game. Minnesota’s line play has been a problem, and it’s easier to throw on the Eagles.

• The Jaguars scratched Leonard Fournette (hamstring) early in the week, which makes you wonder if this is going to be a multiple-game absence. T.J. Yeldon, off a two-touchdown game, is the starter at Kansas City.

• Randall Cobb (hamstring) won’t play at Detroit, but context clues point to Davante Adams (calf) being in uniform. Geronimo Allison (post-concussion) is more questionable, sitting out the full practice week.

• The Saints have been limiting Alvin Kamara (knee) in practice, but it would be a shock if he didn’t play Monday against Washington. Mark Ingram returns after serving his four-game suspension.

• Matt Breida (knee) missed some practice time but is expected to play against Arizona. He was effective last week, despite being a game-day call. Marquise Goodwin (hamstring/quad) hasn’t looked healthy all year.

• Corey Clement (quad) missed the practice week and seems unlikely to play against Minnesota. Jay Ajayi’s back isn’t in ideal shape, but he’s set to start. Darren Sproles (hamstring) is also out, which makes Wendell Smallwood playable in desperation spots.

• The Texans have a Sunday night game, which makes Lamar Miller (chest), Keke Coutee (hamstring), and Will Fuller (hamstring) riskier than usual. You need a caddy, someone you can dial up if any of these guys wind up being a surprise scratch. Even if Miller can play, it sounds like Alfred Blue will get a fair chunk of the work. Fuller missed the second half and overtime at Indianapolis, though he was pushing to play.

• Sammy Watkins (hamstring) had a limited week and while he might play against Jacksonville, the matchup is daunting enough for me to ignore him.

• Jarvis Landry (knee) got back to full practice Friday and should be fine against Baltimore.

• It’s hard to trust most of the Dolphins, with DeVante Parker (quad) at the top of that list. He’s questionable after a limited practice week.

• Sterling Shepard (back) had a cyst removed early in the week but apparently he’s fine, practicing the last two days. Evan Engram (knee) remains week-to-week.

• Marvin Jones (ankle) showed up on the injury report Friday, so double check on him before the Lions run with the Pack.

• Greg Olsen (foot) has been doing some limited work in practice, opening up the possibility that he might play in Week 6.

• Travis Benjamin (foot) is probably out for the month, which tidies up the Chargers receiving tree a bit.

• Charles Clay (ankle) had a full practice Friday, if you’re completely shipwrecked at tight end.

• The Seahawks backfield is an unsolvable matrix, but it sounds like Chris Carson (hip) will play after missing the previous game.

• There’s a chance Hayden Hurst (foot) might make his debut against Cleveland. But he’s a rookie and the Ravens collect tight ends like no other franchise. Hurst is a wait-and-see stock.

• The Cardinals expect Larry Fitzgerald (back/hamstring) to play at San Francisco. He’s starting to show his age, but at least Arizona’s offense has a chance with Josh Rosen.

• Rishard Matthews, recently cast off in Tennessee, is expected to visit the Cardinals and Browns this week.

• The Rams are hoping to get Gregg Zuerlein (groin) back this month, perhaps as soon as Week 6.
