The Texas Tech baseball team will begin their 2022 NCAA tournament journey in the regional at Statesboro, Ga., June 3.
The Red Raiders (37-20, 15-9) will be joined in Statesboro by Notre Dame, Georgia Southern and North Carolina-Greensboro.
The journey begins: No. 3 seed Tech gets No. 2 seed Notre Dame in Statesboro Regional
Texas Tech has been a regional host in the past five NCAA tournaments. The last time the Red Raiders started on the road was in Miami in 2014.
They made the College World Series for the first time that year.

The bracket was announced Monday with 64 teams divided into four-team regionals at 16 sites. The winners will advance to best-of-three super regionals, and the eight super-regional champions go to the College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska.
Prior to the 2022 NCAA baseball tournament, Texas Tech last played in the Big 12 baseball tournament May 27. The Red Raiders were defeated 6-5 in 11 innings by Kansas State.
