WATCH: Texas baseball receives proper send-off to Omaha
The University of Texas invited fans to UFCU Disch-Falk Field on Wednesday to send off the Longhorns to Omaha for the 2022 College World Series.
Texas Cheer and Pom, Smokey the Cannon and dozens of Longhorns fans gathered for autographs and well wishes as the team boarded the bus to the airport.
The free event also provided the first 500 fans with a limited edition College World Series poster, which many were having signed by the players and coaching staff.
Douglas Hodo III, Ivan Melendez, Dylan Campbell and head coach David Pierce were videoed interacting with fans.
The Longhorns will play their first game in Omaha on Friday, June 17 at 6 p.m. CT against Notre Dame.
