WATCH: Panthers WR Adam Thielen hits the Griddy at Tuesday’s minicamp

On Tuesday, new Carolina Panthers receiver Adam Thielen did the thing!

Made famous by former Minnesota Vikings teammate Justin Jefferson, Adam Thielen’s Griddy finally made its way onto the Panthers’ practice field this afternoon. A team camera caught the 32-year-old veteran showing his fellow wideouts how it’s done during warmups . . .

Thielen, who signed a three-year, $25 million deal with Carolina this offseason, also commented on what he’s teaching and learning when it comes to non-Griddy football activities.

“Yeah, I mean, I think that’s always kinda been something that I’ve been passionate about,” he said of weighing in with his experience. “Something that I really pride myself in is trying to be a leader—but not only talking about it, but leading by example as well. But I’ve always kinda just kept it open for young guys, older guys—I’m tryin’ to learn from them as well. But I’ve always tried to say, ‘Hey, if there’s anything, as me questions—I’m an open book.’ And I’ll kinda give you my opinion and then you can take it for what it’s worth.

“But I’m tryin’ to learn from these young guys. They got a lot of talent and a lot of skill, and I’m learnin’ from these guys that have some experience in the league. And even a guy like [Jonathan] Mingo, who comes in with zero NFL experience. He’s done a great job and there’s things that I’ve kinda taken from his game and try to apply to mine.”

So, do we think Mingo will be trying to take Thielen’s Griddy into his game?
