Watch: Marcus Freeman invites elementary school to Blue-Gold Game
Marcus Freeman is doing everything to get people to Notre Dame’s annual Blue-Gold Game. That includes some of South Bend’s youngest residents.
When Freeman was at St. Adalbert Catholic School for a service project on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, he learned many of the student had never been to an Irish game. He decided that wasn’t acceptable and set out to make things right by giving what for many of them had to be the surprise of a lifetime:

It’s easy to forget that just because you live near an iconic college football stadium doesn’t necessarily mean you’re able to go. We don’t know the situation each of these students’ families is in, but that shouldn’t matter right now. What matters is that rain or shine, this will be an unforgettable day for everyone who boards those buses. Let this also be another reminder of how classy the individual at the head of the football program is.
