WATCH: Highlights from UNC basketball’s exhibition on Friday
Fans got their first look at the 2022-23 UNC basketball program on Friday night in the Dean Dome. Well, sort of.
Hubert Davis’ team took the court on Friday hosting Johnson C. Smith for an exhibition game. The game is a tune-up for the Tar Heels as they play their first regular season game on November 7th. But alas, it gave fans and the head coach a look at the team as they begin what is a season filled with lots of excitement.
The Tar Heels took care of business in this one, beating Johnson C. Smith 101-40 backed by 20 points from Caleb Love, 19 from Pete Nance and 20 rebounds by Armando Bacot.

Next up for the Tar Heels is a week of practice before that Monday night opener against UNCW. That’s when the real fun begins for this team.
