WATCH: Highlights from the Bears’ first padded practice of training camp

The Chicago Bears put the pads on for the first time this summer during Tuesday’s training camp practice, and the intensity was definitely turned up a notch.

It was the first of two consecutive padded practices for Chicago this week before an off day on Thursday.

The offense had another rough practice, where they struggled during the two-minute drill and 7-on-7. There were a lot of incomplete passes from quarterback Justin Fields, but he did have a couple of nice throws. One of the bright spots on offense was the run game, as the offensive line opened holes for David Montgomery and Khalil Herbert.

Here’s a look at some highlights from Tuesday’s padded practice, which includes some nice throws from Fields to wide receivers Darnell Mooney, Byron Pringle and N’Keal Harry, as well as some nice pass breakups by the defense.
