Georgia baseball will rise up for an early first pitch Tuesday in the SEC Tournament.
The No. 6 seed Bulldogs play No. 11 seed LSU at 10:30 a.m. ET, which is 9:30 local time at Hoover Metropolitan Stadium in Alabama.
The game could have a bearing on the Bulldogs’ NCAA tournament position.
Georgia (39-14) seems set to host a regional and is in the mix for a top eight national seed and the right to host a super regional.
The Bulldogs know if they win, they’ll play at least two more games in Hoover. The loser is sent home to await the NCAA field of 64 on Monday.
Georgia has been knocked out of the SEC tournament in its opening game the previous two seasons. Its best finish was second three times, the last in 1989.
