WATCH: Dylan Edwards takes screen pass 75 yards to the house

After a concerning start to the second half that included a pair of offensive mistakes, true freshman Dylan Edwards got the Buffs going again in a major way.

On a second-and-10 from CU’s own 25, the rookie running back received a screen pass from Shedeur Sanders, and with the help of some blockers ahead of him, Edwards took it 75 yards to the house. The third quarter score extended Colorado’s lead to 24-14.

Edwards had somewhat of an up-and-down first half, however. He helped get CU on the board early with a 4-yard touchdown reception but later fumbled a carry late in the second quarter, which ultimately allowed TCU to tie the game at 14.

Per CU Sports Information, Edwards is the first true freshman to score Colorado’s first points of the season since Jeremy Bloom returned a punt 75 yards against CSU in 2002.
