WATCH: A day in the life of Boston’s Payton Pritchard, summer league edition

Boston Celtics second-year point guard Payton Pritchard was a breakout player in the 2021 Las Vegas Summer League, so much so some were saying the Oregonian floor general was too good to be playing in the summer league.

But Pritchard did not just roll up and excel at his game despite the ease with which he played against opposing teams on most nights. There was a lot of hard work put in behind the scenes that led to his standout performance in the (usually) annual Sin City series of offseason exhibitions that, until now, was mostly off the radar of Celtics fans.

Now, Boston has released a video highlighting Pritchard’s behind-the-scenes training to give us a glimpse into what rising young players like the West Linn native have to do to keep that upward trajectory.

Watch the video embedded above to see Pritchard hard at work honing his body and craft for this year’s summer league games.
