Watch Chop Robinson BLAZE through his 40-yard dash at the NFL combine

If Penn State defensive e3nd Chop Robinson was looking to make a statement at the NFL combine, he certainly didn’t disappoint with his 40-yard dash time. Robinson put the NFL scouting community on notice with his burst of speed in one of the most scrutinized combine events of the year, leaving everyone in his dust.

Robinson’s official recorded time was clocked at 4.49, nearly a full tenth of a second faster than the next fastest recorded time of the day from the defensive linemen at the combine.

The only other player to record a time under 4.6 seconds on the first full day of the combine at the time of Robinson’s run was Mohamed Kamara, edge rusher from Colorado State.

In fact, Robinson’s time is the 9th fastest all-time by a defensive end in combine history, according to the NFL’s own website. Faster than Haason Reddick (4.52), Jadeveaoin Clwney (4.53), and Bruce Irvin (4.50), just to name a few notable names on record.

We’ll see how the rest of the combine goes for Robinson, but this was certainly a fantastic look for a player trying to lock down a first-round draft pick.
