WATCH: Chiefs DL George Karlaftis forces huge fumble vs. Broncos

The Kansas City Chiefs got off to a shaky start against the Denver Broncos in Week 8 but were able to cut their first-half deficit to five points after this spectacular sack by defensive lineman George Karlaftis.

This big play came with mere seconds remaining in the first half when Denver seemed poised to add a field goal to their eight-point lead late in the second quarter.

When Russell Wilson rolled out to find a receiver downfield, Karlaftis pounced on the opportunity to force a strip-sack turnover to give Patrick Mahomes a chance to put points on the board.

Denver will receive the second-half kickoff, so Karlaftis and the Chiefs defense have their work cut out for them when play resumes in the third quarter.

Expect Kansas City’s secondary to play sticky coverage that enables Karlaftis, Chris Jones, and Charles Omenihu to harass Wilson in the Broncos’ backfield as Mahomes and the Chiefs offense look to complete their comeback in Mile High Denver.
