Watch: Cam Akers shows off quick feet in ladder drills as rehab continues

Cam Akers tore his Achilles in the middle of July while working out before training camp, the first significant blow suffered by the Rams this year. Akers was poised for a huge second NFL season after lighting it up toward the end of his rookie year, which made this injury so devastating.

The young running back has been sharing updates on his rehab process in the last three months and things seem to be going very well. His latest video came on Thursday when he showed himself doing ladder drills on the field in Thousand Oaks, and it’s hard to tell he suffered such a serious injury about 90 days ago.

Check out the video below, which was posted on Akers’ Instagram story.

Akers is currently on the non-football injury list and is expected to return to full strength next season, which will be his third year in the NFL.
